How We Tackle it

We use tools to tackle health risks, compromised wellbeing and productivity slowdown in your office environment. Here are some of the strategies we employ.

Air

We test the air you breathe.

• Check the ventilation effectiveness • Check air filtration • Control microbe and mold • Locate contaminant sources • Devise a cleaning protocol with approved product seals • Control humidity • Set antimicrobial activity for high touch surfaces • Select low VOC materials and materials without harmful chemicals so you don’t come into contact with anything harsh.

Water

We test the water you drink.

• Consider the installation of additional filtration to enhance both water quality and taste • Encourage your hydration through strategic placement of drinking water stations throughout the office space.

Light

We check the light fixtures lux levels and the effect on eye strain.

• Check colour quality • Consider daylight contribution in furniture placement to allow natural light access and outdoor views and minimize sun glare at the same time.

Nourishment

We enhance the fruit & vegetable variety in the menu and restrict refined ingredients.

• Promote nutritional labeling and artificial ingredients labeling • Use attractive signage and visual cues to encourage you to consume healthy foods and beverages, dissuading you from selecting unhealthy alternatives
• Limit dinnerware sizes • Make efforts to provide adequate seating to be used during meal times to allow you to engage in mindful eating.

Comfort

Acoustic problems are the leading source of dissatisfaction within an office environmental conditions.

• Check exterior noise intrusion, internally generated noise and reverberation times, i.e. things that destruct you from your work • Consider sound reducing surfaces, sound barriers and consider the use of sound masking • Check your thermal comfort and improve it if needed .

Fitness

Humans are not meant to sit in a chair for 8 hours a day. We propose ways to help you stay fit during working hours.

• Promote the use of sit-stand desks • Propose attractive features like natural light, art and music to create a more appealing stairwell that incentivizes you to take the stairs rather than the elevator • Promote in house physical activity space designation or activity incentive programs or active transportation support so that you exercise your body • Promote exterior active design to promote walking.

Mind

We employ strategies to optimize cognitive and emotional health.

• Biophilic design incorporation to allow you to feel a connection to nature even while indoors.
• Promote healthy sleep policies
• Mitigate building stressful factors
• Promote charitable activities
• Conduct post-occupancy surveys and use them to inform your decisions.
